From 2000 to 2010 the Internationale Bauausstellung (IBA) Fürst-Pückler-Land takes place in Lusatia (Brandenburg). Through 30 exemplary projects and EU-projects, IBA gives economical, creative and ecological impulses for the required structural change. The presentational year is 2010. Come and visit the Lusatia and the IBA projects. More than 220 tours and events invite you to an expedition!

Paradise 2

Paradisical Plessa

A sea of flowers and light

Hundrets Lusatians take part in the art project “Paradise 2” and present their home country in unusual art actions like in the staging “Paradisical Plessa”. The performance is taking place on 11th September in Plessa. They want to approximate to the history of Plessa und to transmute special places like the house of culture, the Bahnhofstraße and the power plant into a sea of flowers and light. Everybody is invited to take part in this staging!

Light for the Lakeland

Utopian light and sound sculpture

Experience how thousands Lusatians switch their lights on for the future of the Lusatian Lakeland. On 18th September they will trace the contours of lake Sedlitz with electric torches and the lights of their bycicles. Hundred of fanfares and drummers will send their sounds around the lake and compose together an unique light-sound-sculpture. Be part of this staging! Bring friends and colleagues to the lake.

Visitor Centre IBA Terraces

The visitor centre of the IBA and the Lusatian Lakeland can be found at “the most exceptional border of civilisation of the world” (citation DIE WELT) directly at the emerging lake Ilse.The exhibition "The Reconquering of a Landscape" will be open on 24th April. Furthermore you can visit a café her and our tours to the bizarre open-cast mine- and future lake land starts here. Accessorily House 3 gives you the opportunity to arrange celebrations and conferences.
