When talking about the climate, the goal is an 80 percent reduction in CO2 emissions. When talking about bio-diversity, the goal is to end deforestation and
monocultures. But the economic and social standard of living is supposed to at least triple. All of that by the year 2050. How is that possible? Two strategies must come together: efficiency and sufficiency. It is possible to increase efficiency by a factor of five, and sufficiency is reasonable.
