Regarding economic as well as ecological perspectives, the general principle of sustainable responsible action is formative for mining. This becomes especially apparent in the convergence of mining and natureprotection issues. Initially, it must be examined whether nature-protection issues are in conflict with a mining project. If this is not the case, necessary measures must be undertaken – with consideration for the public interest – to reclaim the surfaces that have been worked on by mining.
