Cornwall has a rich mining heritage that left a legacy of devastated landscapes and depressed local communities but in recent years this has begun to be addressed with several major projects seeking to rejuvenate the county. The Eden Project is one remarkable example of sustainable post-mining regeneration in Cornwall and a natural home for the Post-Mining Alliance, which seeks to inspire new solutions for dealing with mining legacy. We work with a wide range of individuals and organisations in mining regions worldwide and have collected many examples of the best and most creative examples of real post-mining regeneration projects.
