Communication Manager

Ulrike Rothe is a qualified hand weaver and studied architecture in Weimar, Stuttgart and Copenhagen. Subsequently, she worked, for example, in a Swiss-German architecture office and at the University of Karlsruhe in the field of landscape architecture as well as at the University of Berkeley in the USA. She supervised the IBA’s Welzow Landscape Island, prepared the IBA Exhibition in 2005 and worked parallel to this at different universities as an instructor and as a freelance architect. She is Chairperson in the German Werkbund (Work Federation of Architects, Artists, Builders) Saxony Reg. Ass. At the IBA she manages the field of communication as well as the operating team at the IBA Terraces. In 2010 she is the overall manager of the concluding year of the IBA.
