Christina PachalyChristina Pachaly was born in Oberhausen. She first went to Kaiserslautern to study spatial and environmental planning and then to Berlin, where she studied urban and regional planning at the Technical University. In the meantime she also intensified her contact with teaching at the College of Architecture in Madrid and improved her knowledge of Spanish. In her master’s thesis on the topic "Cultural Capital Ruhr 2010" she analysed the festival as a special urban development instrument. Subsequently, Christina Pachaly worked in an architecture and urban planning office in Berlin on inner-urban and regional developmental concepts. She did freelance work at the Technical University of Berlin and worked on a book project there. Ms Pachaly has augmented the IBA team since the autumn of 2009. She supervises IBA projects in Cottbus and is responsible for the IBA guidance system in the Finale 2010. |
